CPAPtalk.com Announces Free Product Trial System

Did you ever wish you could make sleep disorder products better? Would you like to evaluate CPAP products before they hit the market in exchange for providing feedback directly to manufacturers? We're pleased to announce that major brands are ready to participate. Are you?

We've teamed with our sister website, CPAPtalk.com, to establish a direct link between CPAP users and CPAP manufacturers. We call it the CPAPtalk.com Product Trial System, it's free to use and here's how it works:

  1. Enroll in the CPAPtalk.com Product Trial System by visiting:

    Free Product Trial System Enrollment

  2. When sleep disorder treatment manufacturers want to hold a product trial, they will ask CPAPtalk.com for a list of enrolled product trial participants matching their criteria. For example, they may want the help of Kansas City patients that have mild sleep apnea and use nasal CPAP at pressures less than 7 with heated humidification.

  3. If you match future test criteria, a CPAP manufacturer will contact you and set up a time and a place to trial the product.

  4. Participate in as many trials as you are selected for so long as you are only in one active trial at a time.

Insurance Filing Instructions Now Provided With Each Order

Filing claims with your insurance company for CPAP equipment reimbursement can be difficult. To help our customers with the process, we now include a digital document pack sent as an attachment with each order shipped confirmation email. The pack includes an example insurance claim form populated with your order information and an insurance submission tip sheet that contains a list of required documentation and common insurance pitfalls.

Return Insurance Option Now Available on CPAP Masks

Have you ever wanted to try out a mask and get your money back if it did not fit? Now you can, with our CPAP.com Mask Return Insurance option.

The purchase of return insurance along with your mask allows you to return the mask to us within 30 days of purchase for a full refund of the mask's purchase price less shipping. We also include a return label with orders containing return insurance, so shipping the mask back to us is easy. As always, all masks sold on CPAP.com are brand new in original manufacturer's packaging.

Purchasing return insurance makes sense if you are trying out new masks, new sizes of your current mask or if you simply want the option of returning the mask for a refund.

Invacare and Viasys Buy into the CPAP Market

Six months ago, Hoffman Laboratories released the first wearable CPAP machine to the market. Hoffman recently sold its assets to Viasys. This acquisition brings impressive CPAP motor and power system technology to Viasys. Viasys has also recently acquired Tiara Medical Systems, a sleep treatment mask manufacturer.

In August, the world's largest durable medical equipment manufacturer, Invacare, entered into a distribution agreement with AEIOmed, Inc., the first CPAP manufacturer to offer an ultra small battery driven CPAP.

The AEIOmed CPAP was initially introduced to the market as the Aura, it was then renamed Everest and now has been renamed the Polaris TR as part of the Invacare line of CPAPs. In an effort to minimize confusion and allow customers who may know the Polaris TR as the Everest or the Aura to continue to find it easily on our website, CPAP.com is currently selling this unit as the 'Everest Aura Polaris TR CPAP Machine'.
